Nigella damascene
Love-in-a-Mist is a hardy annual and can handle frosty climates. Direct sow in the garden in full sun to part shade area in autumn. Cover the seed with a dusting of good quality compost and water them in well. Seeds will begin to germinate from 14-21 days. Let the bees enjoy the soft mix of pastel coloured flowers, from white, pinks, and blues.
Once the swollen seedpods have been formed, cut the stems at the base of the plant and hang them to dry. Seeds will fall from the dried flowers. Love-in-a-mist flowers can also be dried. Cut them at the base of the plant and leave all of the foliage for texture, and hang to dry. Always hang them upside down in a cool, dry area, with minimal to zero sunlight. Hang them until they are completely dry.
The seed packet consists of approximately 100 seeds.
N.B. Regrettably, we cannot send seeds to Western Australia and Tasmania due to quarantine restrictions.
